Information Technology for Enterprise Management (ITEM)
The Information Technology for Enterprise Management (ITEM) program is a 1.5-year international double degree that combines information technology, business, and management. The program is offered by Tilburg University and the University of Turku in Finland and gives students the opportunity to receive two Master's degrees.
ITEM focuses on bridging the gap between IT, strategic needs, and daily business operations. You learn how organizations can set up, optimize, and manage information systems, AI, and IT processes to support both strategic and operational goals.
The program also covers important business applications and frameworks, including ERP, eBusiness, Knowledge Management, Management Information Systems, and eCompetence. In addition, there is a strong focus on digital transformation and change management, recognizing that successfully implementing new technologies often requires organizations and employees to adapt to new ways of working.
The program consists of three semesters. You start in Tilburg in February and later move to Turku, Finland. During the final stage of the program, you work on your Master's thesis, preferably in combination with an international internship. This gives you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in an international business environment while receiving guidance from both universities.
Asset | Operations & Innovation
Asset | Operations & Innovation offers ITEM students the opportunity to become part of the student community in Tilburg before continuing their international experience in Finland.
Our activities connect students with companies and professionals and provide opportunities to explore the business side of IT, information management, and digital transformation. You can participate in company events, career-oriented activities, social events, and activities with fellow students.
Because ITEM is an international program, Asset can also be a way to connect with students who have different academic and cultural backgrounds and experience student life in Tilburg.
Get involved
Although your time in Tilburg is only part of the ITEM program, you can still become involved in Asset and join one of our committees. This allows you to meet other students, contribute to events, and develop skills alongside your studies.
Being active in a committee can also give you practical experience in teamwork, communication, event organization, and project management. These experiences can complement the international and academic experience you gain through ITEM.
